Due in soon – this 1959 Triumph TR3A is a well-maintained example that has been sympathetically upgraded to improve usability while retaining its character. Fitted with a Mazda MX-5 five-speed manual gearbox featuring a short-throw shift, it is well suited to modern road use and more relaxed long-distance driving.

First registered on 15th May 1959, the TR3A remained with its first owner for 19 years and is now offered from its seventh owner. It presents well throughout and benefits from a history of careful ownership and ongoing maintenance.

A previous owner was an active member of the TR Register, using the car for local shows and club events following its restoration. More recently, the car has continued to receive sensible improvements and routine maintenance. In 2022, it was converted to splined wire wheel hubs with new hubs and bearings, while the rear axle was rebuilt and new rear brake drums fitted. In 2021, the front suspension was inspected, with new wishbone bushes installed as part of preventative maintenance.

The result is a TR3A that combines period charm with a number of well-considered upgrades, making it an enjoyable and practical classic to drive.
