HOO 476H has undergone many updates in recent times that include Gaz adjustable telescopic shock absorbers (front and rear), Rear springs, Fuel tank, Fuel pump, Hi-torque starter, King pins (with needle roller trunnion bearings), Brake servo and Dual system brakes, Stainless steel sills, Wire wheels finished with new two winged chrome spinners, New heater radiator matrix, New wiper blades with new chrome arms, New QuadOptic headlights, New Battery with isolator switch, New carpet set, New relays for the headlights, New window rubbers, New ethanol resistant fuel lines and just for the correct appearance New front road springs have been fitted to get the ride height just perfect!
Mechanically HOO 476H has the robust 1.8-litre B-Series Gold seal engine that sits underneath the aluminium bonnet that has now completed 64,466 miles. The engine has recently had a Newman road cam installed along with new big end bearings and oil pump whilst it was apart. Also fitted are the superior (and expensive) ARP head studs. The all-important Overdrive is present and active on 3rd and 4th gears.
Although repainted some time ago, HOO 476H presents beautifully and is enhanced by stunning brightwork, a show standard engine bay and a lovely interior that is finished off with a wooden steering wheel.
You will also notice that a tow bar is present that has been used for towing an un-braked garden trailer on occasions.
On the road this GT is fantastic fun with a strong fit, healthy engine holding 50 psi at tick over and 70 psi at 3000 RPM, a lovely smooth gearbox with working overdrive and handling and braking to match.
HOO 476H has been owned for the last three years by a classic car enthusiast that had great fun fettling and driving this car and presented annually at a number of Car Shows and Motor Club events.
HOO 476H is showing some minor paint imperfections in places, but is a mechanically strong car that drives extremely well and would be a perfect weekend classic.
