This MG Midget MKIII is a factory-original right-hand-drive (RHD) model intended for the domestic market, manufactured during the 7th to 8th December 1971.
It was subsequently dispatched to the MG dealership, Evans & Kitchen Limited, Birmingham, West Midlands on the 12th January 1972.

The car was finished in Flame Red exterior paint, complemented by a Navy interior trim and Black Hood, just as it is today.
It came equipped with factory-fitted Wire Wheels, Heater, Tonneau Cover, Radial PLY Tyres, Seat Belts and Anti-roll Bar.

This MG Midget MKIII still proudly displays its original factory-issued registration plate, bearing the distinctive identifier BOP 523K.

Included within the car's history file is a British Motor Museum Heritage Certificate, affirming the aforementioned details. This certificate serves as a tangible validation of the vehicle's provenance.

Dating back to January 1972, this Midget represents the esteemed chrome bumper, round wheel arch era (1972-1974). Resplendent in shining flame red with a striking removable black factory hard-top, it rides elegantly on 13” wire wheels.

Beneath its bonnet lies the familiar 65bhp de-tuned Cooper ‘S’ four-cylinder A-series engine, boasting the 12G490 cylinder head and 8.8:1 compression ratio, delivering 72lb ft of torque to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

Inside, the cabin exudes comfort, featuring virtually unmarked vinyl upholstery, complemented by black carpets, all while the odometer proudly displays its low mileage of 72,376 miles.

Renewed on a new Heritage shell and thoroughly rebuilt, this cherished Midget was a gift from the vendor's devoted wife in May 2001. Since then, it has been meticulously stored in a bubble, with only approximately 350 miles added to its journey during this period.
