First registered in January 1973, this impressive Pimento Red Stag Automatic was last acquired during lockdown to scratch a long-felt itch. He chose well, the car proving both reliable and healthy during his ownership.
JWD 284L is an original RHD home market car that was built on the 6th November 1972

The heritage certificate details the build specification included Pimento Red Paint, Black Trim with Black Hood along with Heater, Hardtop, Inertia Seatbelts, Borg Warner Automatic Gearbox, Avon Tyres and Laminated Sundym Windscreen. The panel fit is good, as is the paintwork and general fit and finish, with leather trim inside and a smart original factory hard top. The orignal factory black soft top remains present, but it is now showing its age, so a brand new Mohair replacment will be supplied with the car (Purchased from Rimmer Bros for £700.00).
Bills on file date back to 2000, with more recent invoices showing a pair of front springs in 2010, new hoses in 2015, new rear springs, a reconditioned uprated radiator in 2016, a Revtec cooling kit in 2017 and a new fuel pump a year later. It is fitted with electronic ignition by Luminition, a Mega Spark coil and a high-torque starter was added in 2021. A new automatic-gearbox oil cooler will be fitted in the coming days as the cooler fitted has developed a weap.
In 2015 the seat foams were replaced, the whole car having the air of a well-kept example in sharp condition.
It was last presented for MOTs in September 2023 and 2021 and has covered very few miles during this period. A string of 20 old MOTs are also present that date back to 2000, by which time it was showing an indicated if unsubstantiated 56,000 miles, just 7,500 miles having been added since.
If a Stag is on your radar, this car is well-worth close inspection.
