There’s something truly special about welcoming a classic car into stock that already has a story to tell – and even more so when that story was shared with thousands of enthusiasts across the world.

We’re delighted to share that our newly arrived 1969 MGC GT was not only featured but also graced the front cover of MG Enthusiast magazine back in January 2020 (Edition 384). The seven-page spread, written by Jim Jupp, provides a fantastic insight into the car’s history, condition, and development under the care of its then-owner, Keith Preston.

This beautifully written feature highlights the passion, attention to detail, and thoughtful enhancements that have made this MGC GT such a stand-out example. Keith’s ownership journey offers a fascinating backdrop to what is already a rare and highly desirable classic.

Within the car’s comprehensive history file, we’re proud to include two original copies of the magazine – with one still sealed in its original cellophane wrapper. It’s a lovely touch that adds depth and provenance, especially for collectors or enthusiasts who appreciate the added value of a car that’s already been celebrated in the public eye.

At The Forge, we always get excited about cars that have a following or hold significance within their marque’s community – and this MGC GT certainly qualifies. It’s been admired, discussed, and shared by the wider MG community, and now, it’s ready for its next chapter with a new custodian.

We invite you to come and view this remarkable car in person. It’s not every day that you have the chance to own a genuine cover star.
