A Magical Morning at The Forge Prees

Every now and then, something a little unexpected—and truly special—happens here at The Forge. This month, we had one of those magical moments when we welcomed Tadzio Jodlowski to our showroom. Tadzio, a lecturer by profession and a talented guitar composer and author, dropped by on the hunt for his dream MG classic car.

But that’s not all he brought with him.

During a lovely chat over coffee and chrome, Tadzio shared news of his latest creative project—“Jonni Greenbelt and the Magic of Fields”, a heartwarming and hilarious children’s book. The story follows a young boy’s quest to save his parents’ green field from the clutches of an inexperienced MP and a pair of suspiciously named developers, Hectaire and Grabber. Along the way, Jonni tries to enlist help from three celebrities (with plenty of comic twists) and learns a valuable lesson: problems are like clouds—they pass, and the best way to deal with them is through action.

Tadzio kindly gifted us a copy, and we passed it straight to our boys… who devoured it! They were absolutely captivated, and it wasn’t long before we had an idea...

We invited Tadzio back for a special photoshoot here at The Forge. This time, he came armed with his book—and we had just the car in mind: a gorgeous green MGB Roadster, the perfect backdrop for Jonni’s green-belt adventure. As if the stars had aligned, when we rolled the car out of the showroom, Tadzio spotted something that stopped him in his tracks—the number plate featured his initials!

Needless to say, it was a morning filled with laughter, big smiles, and a touch of magic. Our boys were over the moon to be involved in the shoot, and Tadzio, in true gentlemanly style, presented them with a signed copy of his book as a thank you.

It was one of those feel-good days that remind us why we love what we do—not just the cars, but the people, the stories, and the joy they bring.

If you’ve got young readers at home (or young-at-heart readers in your life), we can’t recommend “Jonni Greenbelt and the Magic of Fields” enough. It’s a thoughtful, funny, and inspiring read that’s already a firm favourite in our household.
