Today we said goodbye to the beautiful 1976 MGB GT V8. Although its time with us at The Forge was brief, it left a lasting impression – the kind that lingers long after the burble of its V8 engine has faded away. This car had a presence, a character, and a spirit that was impossible not to admire, and it didn’t take long for us to become attached.
The best part of this farewell, however, is knowing what comes next. Its new home is one where it will be driven, cherished and properly cared for – exactly the life a car of this calibre deserves. And it won’t be sitting still for long; in fact, tomorrow it begins a road trip all the way to Scotland. We can’t think of a better way for this V8 to stretch its legs and show off what it was built for.
Cars like this aren’t just machines; they’re stories in motion. Today we close a short chapter here at The Forge, but we’re delighted to see a much longer one begin.
