I was born and raised in the village of Prees, quite literally a stone's throw from where The Forge stands today. Growing up, I developed a fascination with cars from an early age, inspired largely by my Dad. Like many young enthusiasts of the era, my bedroom walls were covered with posters and models of dream machines such as the Jaguar XJ220, which was always my favourite, alongside icons including the Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari Testarossa, F40, F50 and McLaren F1. Those remarkable cars captured my imagination and sparked a passion for sports cars that has remained with me ever since.

After leaving school, I joined my Dad in the agricultural manufacturing industry. Dad was an international businessman, successful entrepreneur and, without question, the person from whom I learned the most throughout my life. More than that, he was my greatest influence. What began as an opportunity to learn the business quickly developed into a career spanning more than 25 years working within the same group of companies. During that time, I had the privilege of leading and developing several businesses in both the UK and overseas, helping to grow some of the best-known brands in the groundcare and vegetation maintenance sector into internationally recognised market leaders. Along the way, I developed a real passion for sales and marketing, enjoying the challenge of building brands, understanding customers and creating sustainable growth.

Looking back, I am proud of what was achieved by the teams I worked alongside. The businesses and people I worked with were recognised through a number of regional, national and international awards, including a Queen's Award for Innovation, and became some of the most successful and respected companies within the industry. More importantly, those years taught me the importance of treating people with respect, building strong relationships, applying sound business principles and creating organisations with long-term integrity.

The Forge Prees was founded in 2019 by my Dad, Dr Geoffrey Davies OBE DL FIAgrE, as a retirement project and a way of combining his entrepreneurial spirit with his lifelong passion for British sports cars. Sadly, Dad passed away later that same year and never had the opportunity to see his vision realised. Since then, I have been committed to continuing what he started, gradually building the business while honouring his legacy. In 2025, I made the decision to join The Forge full-time and dedicate my efforts to its future.

Continuing The Forge is about far more than running a business. It is about preserving and building upon a vision that Dad was passionate about, while creating a company that reflects the values he instilled in me throughout my life. Over the years, my appreciation for British classic sports cars has continued to grow. The more I have learned about them, the more I have come to admire their character, engineering and the stories behind them. Today, I consider it a privilege to help others discover and enjoy these remarkable cars.

My experience in international business has given me a strong foundation for developing The Forge, but our approach remains simple: provide exceptional customer service, maintain the highest standards and keep the business true to its family roots. Whether someone is purchasing their first classic sports car or adding to a long-established collection, I believe the experience should be enjoyable, transparent and supported long after the sale is complete.

Family has always been central to everything I do. My wife, Rachael, plays an important role in supporting me with the day-to-day running of the business, helping to ensure that The Forge remains a truly family-operated company. Together, we have two sons, Harley and Ollie, who are often found around The Forge and are already developing their own enthusiasm for sports cars—particularly the loud ones.

Today, I am proud to lead The Forge alongside those closest to me, combining a lifelong passion for sports cars, while continuing to build upon the foundations Dad created and the values he passed on to me.
