One Year On: A Morgan Doing Exactly What It Was Built For

At The Forge, selling a classic car is only the beginning of the story. The real reward comes when we hear from customers months or even years later, still enjoying the cars they’ve entrusted us to supply.

Last summer, we sold a 2006 Morgan Plus 4 to Mark and Alison from Malvern—the very town where Morgan cars have been handcrafted for more than a century.

Twelve months later, we were delighted to receive an update from them whilst they were completing another European adventure.

Their latest road trip has taken in the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours, the spectacular Puy du Fou historical park, the beautiful Gulf of Morbihan in Brittany and, at the time of writing, the picturesque Normandy harbour town of Honfleur.

What pleased us most, however, wasn’t the list of destinations. It was a simple comment from Mark:

“The car has been amazing over the last year, so we thank you for selling it to us.”

As classic car enthusiasts, there’s no better feedback than that.

Too often, classic cars spend their lives tucked away in garages waiting for the perfect day. Mark and Alison’s Morgan has done exactly what it was built to do—cross countries, attend iconic events, explore winding roads and create lasting memories along the way.

It’s especially fitting that a Morgan should be covering miles across Europe. These cars have always been about the journey as much as the destination, offering a style of motoring that modern cars simply can’t replicate.

We’d like to thank Mark and Alison for taking the time to get in touch and share their adventures. Knowing that a car supplied by The Forge continues to bring enjoyment a year after leaving our showroom is enormously rewarding.

We wish them many more memorable miles in their Plus 4 and look forward to hearing where their next adventure takes them.
