The specification was also thoughtfully upgraded, with a fully rebuilt 1275cc engine and front disc brakes, making this a particularly quick, responsive and enjoyable ‘Frogeye’ that also stops with real efficiency.

The car is magnificent in every respect and exceptionally attractive in appearance. The body is outstanding, with excellent panel fit, beautifully straight panels and a structurally superb shell. It retains a steel bonnet, while the underside is wonderfully straight and finished to the same exacting standard as the exterior. The paintwork is excellent throughout, the chrome is as new and the Minilite-style wheels complement the car perfectly.

The attention to detail continues underneath, where the underside has been painted and finished to the same standard as the top of the car. The engine bay is equally beautifully presented, with every area receiving the same careful treatment. The overall condition is of a standard that would be more than worthy of showing and competing at events.

Inside, the upholstery has been superbly trimmed, while the hood and frame are like new. The car is also supplied with a set of sidescreens. The spare-wheel compartment has been professionally trimmed and contains a selection of tools and essential equipment.

The quality of the restoration is a real credit to those who carried it out. Considerable time and care have clearly gone into every aspect of the rebuild, resulting in a car that combines exceptional presentation with an upgraded and highly usable mechanical specification.

The car is accompanied by a comprehensive photographic record of the restoration, a substantial file of invoices, a Heritage Certificate and historical paperwork from the United States, providing excellent documentation of its history and rebuild.

On the road, the Frogeye is every bit as impressive as it is to look at. The rebuilt 1275cc engine feels lively, responsive and strong, maintaining excellent oil pressure. The gearbox has also been rebuilt, while the brakes, suspension and steering are all new. The ancillary components have received the same attention, including the dynamo, electrical system and exhaust. As part of our sales process a new starter motor, ring gear and electric ignition are being installed into the car.
