We are delighted to offer this truly show class MGA 1600 Coupe onto the market. NSJ 735 has had just two owners since a complete nut and bolt, body off restoration by marque guru Bob West between 1993-1998. Since rebuild the car has covered less than 9000 miles and on its first outing it was awarded ‘Car of the Show’ at the Footman James Classic Car Show at the Manchester G-Mex. The car is of true show winning standards, regularly involved in the Cheshire Concours D’Esprit.

The MGA was built at the Abingdon factory in 1959 to North American specification and returned to the U.K. in the early 1990's in need of total rebuild. Rebuilt under the watchful eye of Bob West' chief mechanic James Horner, the MGA was totally renewed from the ground up with a photo record. The body was removed and completely rebuilt, the chassis rebuilt and the car completely rebuilt mechanically and electrically. The car was painted beautifully in Dark Blue, brightwork renewed and new wheels and tyres fitted. The upholstery was completely re-trimmed and the seats modelled on the Le Mans MGA SRX 210 with original Halda Speedpilot and Hanhart stop watches.

The MG comes with a comprehensive file of invoices, restoration photo album, MOT's and workshop Manual. All these years on since rebuild this is not to be confused with the average condition one rebuild, this car has undergone a rebuild to the very highest of standards and many years on, this is still clear to see. The MG still presents as a relatively recent rebuild, it really is magnificent and, on the road, equally as impressive. The car arrives ready to use and enjoy, this is a very special car and one that will be hard to repeat.

At The Forge, we specialise in classic, vintage and enthusiast vehicles. Every vehicle we sell is unique, with its own history, character and imperfections. Unlike modern vehicles, classic cars require a different level of ownership, maintenance and understanding.

We pride ourselves on providing honest, detailed vehicle descriptions, extensive photography and videos, enabling prospective purchasers to make an informed buying decision.

No Commercial Warranty:

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, vehicles sold by The Forge are not supplied with a commercial warranty or guarantee.

This reflects the age, originality and individual nature of the vehicles we sell. Mechanical components on older vehicles are subject to wear, and future maintenance and repairs should be expected as part of classic vehicle ownership.

For customers who would like additional peace of mind, an optional third-party mechanical warranty is available, subject to vehicle eligibility and the warranty provider's terms and conditions. Please contact us before purchase if you would like further information or a quotation.

Nothing in this statement affects your statutory rights.

Vehicle Descriptions:

Every vehicle is individually assessed and described as accurately and honestly as possible.

Our detailed advertisements, photographs and videos form an important part of the sales information and are intended to provide a fair and comprehensive representation of each vehicle at the time of sale.

We encourage all prospective purchasers to read the full advertisement carefully, review all photographs and videos, and contact us with any questions before committing to purchase.

Due to the age of many vehicles, cosmetic wear, minor oil leaks, ageing components, historical repairs, non-original parts and general signs of use should be expected unless otherwise stated.

Viewings, Test Drives & Independent Inspections:

All viewings are strictly by appointment.

We warmly welcome personal inspections, independent inspections and, where appropriate, accompanied test drives by prior arrangement.

Full access to our in-house vehicle lift is available, allowing prospective purchasers or their appointed specialist to inspect the vehicle both above and below.

We strongly encourage every customer to inspect the vehicle personally, or commission an independent inspection, before completing their purchase.

Accuracy of Information:

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that all descriptions, specifications and information are accurate, they are intended as a guide only and are based on the information available to us at the time of advertising.

Prospective purchasers should satisfy themselves as to the vehicle's condition, originality, specification and suitability before purchase. We are always happy to answer questions or provide additional photographs and videos where possible.
