Buying a Classic Vehicle from The Forge:

At The Forge, we specialise in classic, vintage and enthusiast vehicles. Every vehicle we sell is unique, with its own history, character and imperfections. Unlike modern vehicles, classic cars require a different level of ownership, maintenance and understanding.

We pride ourselves on providing honest, detailed vehicle descriptions, extensive photography and videos, enabling prospective purchasers to make an informed buying decision.


No Commercial Warranty:

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, vehicles sold by The Forge are not supplied with a commercial warranty or guarantee.

This reflects the age, originality and individual nature of the vehicles we sell. Mechanical components on older vehicles are subject to wear, and future maintenance and repairs should be expected as part of classic vehicle ownership.

For customers who would like additional peace of mind, an optional third-party mechanical warranty is available, subject to vehicle eligibility and the warranty provider's terms and conditions. Please contact us before purchase if you would like further information or a quotation.

Vehicle Descriptions:

Every vehicle is individually assessed and described as accurately and honestly as possible.

Our detailed advertisements, photographs and videos form an important part of the sales information and are intended to provide a fair and comprehensive representation of each vehicle at the time of sale.

We encourage all prospective purchasers to read the full advertisement carefully, review all photographs and videos, and contact us with any questions before committing to purchase.

Due to the age of many vehicles, cosmetic wear, minor oil leaks, ageing components, historical repairs, non-original parts and general signs of use should be expected unless otherwise stated.


Viewings, Test Drives & Independent Inspections:

All viewings are strictly by appointment.

We warmly welcome personal inspections, independent inspections and, where appropriate, accompanied test drives by prior arrangement.

Full access to our in-house vehicle lift is available, allowing prospective purchasers or their appointed specialist to inspect the vehicle both above and below.

We strongly encourage every customer to inspect the vehicle personally, or commission an independent inspection, before completing their purchase.


Accuracy of Information:

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that all descriptions, specifications and information are accurate, they are intended as a guide only and are based on the information available to us at the time of advertising.

Prospective purchasers should satisfy themselves as to the vehicle's condition, originality, specification and suitability before purchase. We are always happy to answer questions or provide additional photographs and videos where possible.


Vehicle Transportation:

We can arrange delivery throughout the United Kingdom and Europe using carefully selected specialist vehicle transport partners. Please contact us for a quotation.


Servicing & Restoration:

Whilst The Forge does not undertake vehicle restoration work, we are pleased to recommend trusted specialists with whom we work closely for servicing, restoration and other specialist requirements.
