Just arrived at The Forge and currently in preparation is this Morgan Plus 8, a distinguished example of British motoring heritage—combining traditional craftsmanship with spirited performance in effortless harmony.

Hand-built in the marque’s time-honoured manner, its ash-framed coachwork is clothed in elegantly flowing panels, with sweeping wings and a louvred bonnet that speak to a lineage largely untouched by passing trends. Beneath, a capable 4.0-litre Land Rover V8 engine ensures the refined exterior is matched by performance of genuine vigour. Weighing just 940 kilograms, it delivers an engaging and unfiltered driving experience, complemented by a steel chassis and five-speed manual transmission. Inside, finely appointed leather trim provides a welcome degree of comfort.

This particular example has been in the care of just six previous custodians and is accompanied by an extensive and impressively detailed history file, reflecting diligent upkeep throughout its life.

Finished in a deep metallic green, the colour beautifully accentuates its timeless form. This is tastefully complemented by black leather upholstery with green piping and coordinated carpets, creating an interior of understated elegance. An abundance of stainless steel and chromed brightwork further enhances its presence, lending both distinction and refinement.

Externally, the car remains faithful to the revered Plus 8 aesthetic. Its chromed grille, distinctive wing-mounted lamps, and polished mirrors are all presented in excellent order, while stainless steel bumpers front and rear complete a harmonious specification. Within the cabin, black leather seats—finely piped in green—sit beneath a leather-clad dashboard top, perfectly paired with a dark wood veneer fascia housing black-bezelled instruments. A three-spoke, leather-bound steering wheel with polished metal accents sits comfortably in hand, while the manual gear lever, topped with a leather knob, offers a tactile and engaging connection to the car.

Accompanying the Morgan is a comprehensive history file, including invoices and documentation charting its maintenance from 2002 to the present day, offering clear reassurance as to the care and attention it has consistently received.
