A Classic GT6 Gets the Wire Wheel Treatment

We’re delighted to have recently sold this beautiful magenta 1974 Triumph GT6 Mk3 to a new owner in Southampton — and, as part of the preparation for its new life, the car has just received a fabulous set of chrome wire wheels and period-correct tyres.

The new owner specifically requested the wire wheel conversion ahead of delivery, so we once again turned to our trusted partners at MWS in Slough to source the correct conversion kit and wheel package for the GT6.

Having worked with MWS on similar conversions many times before, we knew the finished result would be just right. This week, the new wheels and tyres arrived at Forge, allowing us to get the GT6 into the workshop and carry out the installation.

And we have to say, the result looks fantastic.

The bright chrome wire wheels complement the GT6’s distinctive magenta paintwork beautifully, giving this already characterful sports car an unmistakably period-correct appearance while adding another layer of classic Triumph charm.

With the installation now complete, the GT6 is ready for its next chapter. We’re looking forward to handing the keys over to its new owner in Southampton next week.
