Today, we said goodbye to our beautifully restored 1970 MGB Roadster in Powder Blue, a truly exceptional example that has been the subject of a meticulous, no-expense-spared nut-and-bolt restoration.
Completed in 2024 by Carn Bosavern Garage in Cornwall, the restoration represented an investment of around £40,000, bringing this iconic British roadster back to an exceptional standard. It has now found a new home with a returning customer to The Forge, Peter from Leicestershire.
Peter is no stranger to The Forge, having purchased another fully restored fast-road specification 1969 MGB Roadster in Primrose Yellow from us earlier this year.
The latest purchase means Peter now has an enviable pair of classic MGB roadsters in his collection — a Powder Blue 1970 Roadster and a Primrose Yellow 1969 Roadster. The photograph above shows both cars sitting side by side at his home in Leicestershire, and we think you'll agree, it makes for a seriously impressive two-car garage!
We're delighted to see the 1970 Roadster go to such an enthusiastic owner who clearly appreciates the quality and character of these cars.
Thank you, Peter, for your continued business and support of The Forge. It is genuinely appreciated.
As part of the latest deal, we have also taken Peter's 1969 MGB GT in British Racing Green in part exchange. This beautifully presented GT is now available for sale through The Forge, giving another enthusiast the opportunity to own a classic MGB with a great story behind it.
