Uncovering a Classic: 1976 MGB GT V8 Gets a Thorough Underbody Restoration

At The Forge, attention to detail is at the heart of everything we do—and nowhere is that more evident than in the preparation of our classic cars.

Today, Ryan from Norty Detailing took on the formidable task of tackling 25 years’ worth of built-up dirt, grime, and thick underbody seal on a 1976 MGB GT V8. The results speak for themselves: beneath the layers of wear, a remarkably strong and tidy chassis has been revealed.

With some additional wire brushing, treatment for light surface rust, and a fresh application of underseal, this classic will once again be fully protected, ensuring it’s ready for its next chapter on the road.

It was not a nice job for a Sunday—but Ryan’s hard work and expertise made it happen. We’re hugely grateful for his continued help and support; it’s truly appreciated.
