A Little Piece of Healey History

We cannot wait to welcome a very special 1962 Austin-Healey 3000 MKII BT7 to The Forge.

Finished in the particularly attractive combination of Florida Green over Cream, this is a car with superb period character and the unmistakable presence that makes the Austin-Healey 3000 such an enduring classic. We are looking forward to sharing much more about the car, its history and its arrival at The Forge very soon.

But there is another rather lovely story attached to this particular Healey.

The car has been immortalised in miniature, having been selected by Oxford Diecast as the subject of a 1/76 scale model, complete with the same registration number as the full-size car. It is a wonderfully unusual piece of Austin-Healey memorabilia and, for us, the perfect little companion to the real thing.

Naturally, we couldn't resist buying a couple.

One will be staying in The Forge collection, while the other will be gifted to the car's new owner — a small but rather special memento that connects the miniature with the full-size Healey sitting in their garage.

There is something particularly satisfying about seeing the two together: the real 1962 Austin-Healey 3000 and its tiny Oxford Diecast counterpart, both wearing the same distinctive Florida Green and Cream colour scheme and, remarkably, the same registration.

We cannot wait for this very special Healey to arrive at The Forge. Watch this space — there is plenty more to come.
