A Striking Triumph GT6 Mk3 Arrives at The Forge

We’re delighted to welcome this superb 1974 Triumph GT6 Mk3 to The Forge.

Finished in striking Mimosa Yellow with black Minilite-style wheels and its original interior, this GT6 is a particularly smart example of one of Triumph’s most iconic sports cars.

Originally built as a right-hand-drive, home-market car, it was supplied to Julians Limited in Reading in November 1973 and retains its original registration, TBL 590M. Its British Motor Museum Heritage Certificate confirms its original Mimosa Yellow finish, black cord interior and desirable factory-fitted overdrive.

The car has also benefited from extensive recent recommissioning, with almost £10,000 spent at Malton Coachworks during April and May 2026. Work included rebuilding and balancing the twin carburettors, servicing the brakes, inspecting and servicing the fuel system, replacing suspension components, attending to the cooling system, gearbox and differential, and rectifying a number of electrical and mechanical issues.

The result is a beautifully presented GT6 with strong bodywork, very good paint, an exceptionally clean underside and an impressive engine bay.

Out on the road, it delivers everything that makes the GT6 so enjoyable: excellent handling, strong performance, functioning overdrive and, of course, the unmistakable sound of its straight-six engine.
