At The Forge, every classic car has a story — but it’s the people behind them that truly bring those stories to life.
This morning offered one of those special moments, as we had the pleasure of spending time with a local gentleman and passionate car enthusiast who has made the difficult decision to part with his much-loved 1966 Triumph Vitesse Convertible.
While we always enjoy meeting the customers who go on to purchase our classic cars, it’s equally — if not more — rewarding to sit down with previous owners. These conversations give us a deeper understanding not just of the vehicle itself, but of the journey it has taken over the years. From how it has been cared for, to the memories created along the way, each detail adds to the rich tapestry that makes classic car ownership so unique.
At The Forge, we believe these backstories are invaluable. These aren’t just vehicles — they are part of family histories, woven into road trips, weekends, milestones, and moments that matter. Preserving and passing on that story is something we’re deeply passionate about, ensuring the next custodian appreciates not just the car, but everything it represents.
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Richard and Teresa for giving us the opportunity to acquire their beautiful Triumph. It was a genuine pleasure spending time together this morning, and we look forward to preparing the car for its next chapter — and finding it a new home where its story can continue.
