When Classic Cars Become Part of the Family Story. A very special wedding day, two much-loved classics, and a wonderful connection with The Forge

Some classic cars become more than just cars.

They become part of your family, your memories and the special moments that stay with you for a lifetime.

That is exactly what happened recently with two very special classics purchased from The Forge by close friends of ours, Peter and Lynda.

Peter and Lynda got in touch with us to share the wonderful news that their 1976 MGB GT and 1966 Triumph Spitfire, affectionately known as Georgie, played a very special part in their son Matthew's wedding to Zara last weekend.

We were absolutely delighted to hear from Lynda and even more thrilled to receive the beautiful photographs from their very special day.

Both of the family's classic cars were there to share in the celebrations, with Matthew and Zara enjoying these much-loved members of the family as they celebrated their wedding with family and friends.

For us here at The Forge, this is what makes classic cars so special.

Yes, we love the engineering, the styling, the history and the character of these wonderful machines. But perhaps the greatest joy comes when a car leaves us and goes on to become part of somebody else's story.

To know that two cars that once found their way to The Forge have now played a small but memorable role in such an important family occasion is incredibly special.

The photographs of Matthew and Zara alongside the cars are a wonderful reminder that classic cars aren't simply about looking back at the past — they continue to create new memories for the future.
