The Forge Prees is proud to announce the arrival of an exceptional 1965 Triumph TR4A IRS – a car that stands as one of the finest examples of its kind to grace our showroom.

This stunning TR4A has been the subject of a painstaking nut-and-bolt restoration by renowned Triumph and Jaguar specialists M&T Classics of Wolverhampton. Commissioned by a discerning Staffordshire enthusiast, no expense was spared in the pursuit of perfection. Upon completion, the car was deemed too exquisite for him to use and has since remained carefully stored, never seeing the road or a wet day. The decision to part with it comes only to support the vendor’s son’s karting ambitions.

A Genuine UK-Market TR4A

Built on 3rd February 1965 and supplied new via A.G. Boyes & Company Ltd., Huddersfield, this TR4A left the factory finished in Signal Red with a black interior and hood. Factory equipment included Goodyear 695 x 15 tubeless tyres, a heater, windscreen washers, and dip-left headlights. Importantly, it retains its original registration number EVH 575C, first issued in Huddersfield – authenticity confirmed by the accompanying British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate.

Restoration to the Highest Standard

The depth of craftsmanship is immediately apparent. The chassis and body were separated, panels expertly aligned, and the car refinished to an outstanding level. With most components renewed, the fit, finish, and attention to detail far surpass original factory standards. Quite simply, this is the finest TR4A we have ever had the privilege to offer.

We are currently liaising with M&T Classics for additional details on the restoration, though the quality speaks for itself. As with all Forge cars, the Triumph will undergo our own checks, a fresh service, MOT, and a careful shakedown before handover, ensuring it is ready to be enjoyed with confidence.

Documentation

The car is offered with its current V5C, Heritage Certificate, and an original Triumph TR4A Owner’s Manual. No records survive of the car’s early life prior to its restoration.

A Rare Opportunity

Freshly restored, never driven, and beautifully presented, this Triumph TR4A IRS represents a rare chance to acquire one of the most desirable Triumph models in virtually as-new condition. Early enquiries are warmly encouraged – this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Every vehicle purchased from The Forge during September is supplied with a complete package of added value and peace of mind, including free UK delivery up to 150 miles, a three-month Autoguard Classic Car Warranty, an independent specialist inspection, a fresh DVLA MOT, a fresh service, and a professional valet and detail.
