Happy Birthday - Seven Years of The Forge Prees

This week marks a very special milestone for us at The Forge Prees as we celebrate seven years since the business was first incorporated on 5th March 2019. Looking back now, it’s hard to believe just how far this small venture has come in what feels like such a short space of time.

Like many great journeys, it began with a simple idea, a lot of passion, and a deep love for classic cars. In those early days, we could never have fully imagined the incredible support, friendships and opportunities that would grow around the business as it developed.

None of this would have been possible without the people who have joined us along the way. From customers and enthusiasts to friends, family, and the fantastic team that now supports what we do every day — we are truly grateful. Your encouragement, trust and loyalty have helped shape The Forge Prees into what it is today.

As we celebrate this anniversary, we are also looking forward with real excitement. Over the past year we have been investing heavily in the future of the business — improving our facilities, increasing our stock holding, and continually raising the quality of the cars we are proud to bring to market. It’s an exciting time, and we are only just getting started.

There’s also a wonderful moment of symmetry in this week’s celebrations. The very first classic car ever invoiced by The Forge Prees was a beautiful Black 1957 MGA Roadster, registration number 926 XVD, sold by my Dad in those early days of the business. The picture above shows my Dad driving the 1957 MGA out of the workshop.

By pure coincidence, yesterday — on the exact day of our seventh anniversary — we took an order for another stunning black MGA Roadster, this time a 1959 model, registration number 694 XWD. Even more special, it has been purchased by a returning customer and will be staying locally here in Shropshire.

Moments like that remind us exactly why we love what we do.
