Now available at The Forge Prees is a genuinely charming 1969 MGB GT, freshly prepared and ready to be enjoyed. Finished in Navy Blue and presented in a thoughtfully chosen specification, this GT is full of character and benefits from a combination of careful restoration and gentle use across recent decades.

Originally restored in 2006, the car received a full body respray, new exterior chrome bumpers, and an interior overhaul. At the same time, a replacement engine was installed, featuring an unleaded cylinder head—making the car a more practical and usable classic. Further desirable touches include factory overdrive, Mini Lite-style alloy wheels, and a wooden steering wheel, all of which bring added flair and period charm.

Since coming into our care, we’ve invested over £2,800 in bringing the car to a higher standard. Recent work includes a full mechanical checkover, electrical improvements, new battery installation, and detail work to both the interior and exterior—all carried out either in-house or by trusted local specialists. The car has now been freshly serviced and is offered with a three-month warranty for added peace of mind.

Mileage records show limited use since its restoration. With just 9,101 miles recorded at its most recent MOT, and a full MOT history dating back to 2001, this MGB GT has clearly been cherished and sparingly driven. The history file is reassuringly complete and includes the current V5C, a British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate, the original MGB driver’s handbook, restoration photographs, and an extensive selection of invoices dating from 2009 through to the present day.

Offered at £12,995, this is a wonderfully honest and well-prepared example of one of Britain’s best-loved classic coupes. It strikes just the right balance between usability and originality, with a confident history and recent investment that make it ready to be enjoyed from day one.
