Our 1959 Austin-Healey Frogeye Sprite is ready for its next chapter.

Following the discovery of damage to the engine’s ring gear and a failed Lucas starter motor, the necessary repairs have now been completed.

The damaged ring gear has been replaced, a new starter motor fitted, and the 1275cc engine is now back in the car. Final checks and adjustments have also been completed, meaning this beautiful Frogeye is now ready to be enjoyed.

It’s a great example of the work that can sometimes be uncovered when a classic car is properly checked and prepared. At The Forge, we believe in doing things properly — making sure the cars we offer are thoroughly inspected and prepared before they leave us.
