The Forge Expands: Workshop Opportunity as Demand for Classic Cars Grows

Following a recent surge in classic car sales, The Forge is looking to welcome an additional pair of hands into the workshop on a flexible, part-time basis.

As the business continues to grow, so too does the need to ensure every car leaving The Forge meets the highest possible standard. This new role will play a key part in that process, supporting the preparation of sales cars through general maintenance, routine servicing, pre-MOT inspections and final delivery checks. Every vehicle is carefully selected and prepared, and attention to detail, pride in workmanship and a genuine care for the finished product are essential.

The Forge is ideally seeking someone with a real passion for classic cars and the confidence to work on them. The position would suit a classic car enthusiast, a retired mechanic keen to remain involved in the trade, or a mobile mechanic looking to take on a couple of additional days each week in a dedicated workshop environment.

Initially, the role is expected to be for one to two days per week, with the potential for this to grow in line with the continued success and expansion of the business.

Bringing More In-House

Alongside this hire, The Forge is also taking steps to bring more of its vehicle preparation work in-house. As demand increases, maintaining control over the quality, consistency and timing of preparation has become ever more important. Expanding internal workshop capability will allow us to further refine each car to its exacting standards, reduce reliance on external providers and ensure every vehicle is ready for its next owner without compromise.
