We Couldn’t Believe the Transformation – Restoring Tired Leather Seats on Our Morris Minor Traveller

This week, we waved goodbye to a lovely 1966 Morris Minor Traveller, which found a new home with a customer based in Northwich. As part of the purchase, the customer asked if we could do anything to improve the presentation of the front seats, which were looking rather tired and showing their age – a common story for a car with nearly six decades of history.

We happily agreed to give it a go. After a bit of online research, we came across Furniture Clinic UK – a company that specialises in leather care and restoration. Their website had a range of interior care products, so we picked up a leather repair kit and leather finish sealant kit, determined to give the seats a fresh lease of life.

Armed with the products and a bit of patience, we followed the instructions step-by-step, allowing each layer of product to dry fully before moving on. And honestly? The results blew us away. The transformation was incredible – the once tired and worn leather now looked fresh, rich in colour, and full of character again.

This experience has certainly opened our eyes to how much of a difference a bit of time and the right products can make. It’s something we’ll definitely be incorporating more into our future car preparations to help enhance the presentation of the classics we sell.

A big thank you to the team at Furniture Clinic UK – we only wish we’d found you sooner!
