Today marked both a proud and poignant moment at The Forge, as we delivered our exceptional 1963 MkII 3.8 Manual to its new custodians, Philip and Louisa, at their home in Chichester.

Beautifully restored and re-engineered by Vicarage Jaguar to an uncompromising grand touring specification, this outstanding example has been a truly special car for us to represent. Having carefully prepared it for sale, it has been a genuine privilege to spend time with such a finely executed MkII — a car that perfectly balances period character with modern usability.

While it is always a pleasure to see one of our cars find the right home, there is no denying a sense of sadness in seeing this particular example leave The Forge. It has been, without question, one of the most exceptional MkII saloons to pass through our hands.

The day itself could not have been more fitting. Under bright blue skies and unseasonably warm sunshine — the warmest day of the year so far — the car was handed over in perfect conditions, befitting such an elegant British classic.

Philip and Louisa were absolutely delighted upon delivery and are already looking forward to their first drive this coming weekend. The MkII joins an enviable stable, where it will sit alongside none other than a Jaguar E-Type — a pairing that speaks volumes about their enthusiasm for iconic Jaguar engineering.

We extend our sincere thanks to Philip and Louisa for their trust in The Forge and for allowing us to play a part in their classic motoring journey. We wish them many happy miles behind the wheel of this remarkable car.
