One of the best parts of what we do at The Forge Prees is hearing about the journeys our classics embark upon once they leave us. Recently, we waved off a beautiful 2006 Morgan Plus 4, sold to a lovely couple from Malvern — the very town where the Morgan marque was born.
We’re delighted to share that its proud new owners, Mark and Alison, have wasted no time in setting off on a true classic motoring adventure: a European road trip spanning France, Switzerland, and Italy.
Their travels have already taken them to some remarkable places:
Reims, France – A stop at the legendary Reims-Gueux Grandstand, part of the historic racing circuit in the Champagne region. Active from the 1920s until the 1970s, this circuit once echoed with the sounds of Formula 1, sports cars, and endurance machines. Today, the preserved pit buildings and grandstands stand as evocative reminders of motorsport’s golden era.
Pré-Saint-Didier, Aosta Valley, Italy – Against the dramatic backdrop of Mont Blanc (Monte Bianco), Europe’s highest peak, Mark and Alison captured their Plus 4 beside the charming Totem Adventure base. Nestled just outside Courmayeur, this region perfectly blends alpine beauty with motoring heritage.
Lake Geneva, Switzerland – Their journey also brought them to the serene shores of Lac Léman, most likely near Montreux or Vevey. Here, the Morgan looked right at home against the sweeping mountain vistas and elegant lakeside promenades of Switzerland’s Riviera.
The photos they’ve shared are nothing short of spectacular — proof of how special a Morgan feels when it’s out on the open road, soaking in Europe’s most scenic landscapes.
We’d like to extend our warm thanks to Mark and Alison for sending us these wonderful updates. We wish them many more miles of joy as they continue their European adventure in one of Malvern’s finest creations.
