This afternoon at The Forge, our stunning 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MKII BJ7 found its next custodian, reserved by an accomplished and discerning Shropshire businessman—an individual whose passion for prestigious sports and classic cars is matched only by his success and vision.
Every now and then, you meet someone who truly inspires you. Not just because of what they’ve achieved, but because of the way they continue to move forward with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a genuine love for what they do. Today was one of those rare moments.
What began as a viewing soon became one of those afternoons that remind us why we do what we do. Over a cup of tea and shared interests, time slipped by effortlessly—conversations flowing between business and, of course, a mutual appreciation for cars and the stories and memories, both good and bad, that come with them. It was an afternoon spent in great company, and one I won’t soon forget.
The Austin Healey will now undergo a small number of thoughtful upgrades over the coming weeks, ensuring it is presented exactly as it should be before being handed over to its new owner.
Days like today capture the very spirit of The Forge: stunning classic cars, meaningful connections, and a shared passion that turns a simple visit into something far more memorable.
We look forward to preparing this beautiful Healey for its next chapter.
