Lynda Hits the Road Again – The Girls Grand Tour, Part Two

One of the best parts of what we do at The Forge is hearing how our cars are being enjoyed long after they leave us. It’s not just about sales; it’s about stories — and we’ve loved following Lynda’s.

You may remember Lynda from a blog we shared last year. She purchased a beautifully finished 1966 Triumph Spitfire MKII from us and has been making the most of it ever since. From local club runs to cross-county day trips, she’s embraced the classic car lifestyle with spirit, joy, and a grin she says she “can’t wipe off.”

Well, we’re thrilled to share that Lynda is back on the road — this time for her second Girls Grand Tour, and in her own words, it’s “very Clarkson-style.” Armed with a picnic, a few good friends, and the roof down (weather permitting!), she’s heading north this time, with the Scottish border once more in her sights.

We can only imagine the laughs, the winding roads, and the admiring glances from passers-by as that little Triumph zips through the countryside.

Lynda’s story reminds us exactly why we do what we do. Classic cars aren’t just about the metal and the mechanics — they’re about the moments. The friendships strengthened on road trips, the little villages discovered by accident, the shared smiles at fuel stops, and the sense of freedom that never quite goes out of style.

We can’t wait to see the photos from this next leg of the adventure — and we’re proud that The Forge played a small part in making it happen.

Safe travels, Lynda. And long may the Girls Grand Tour continue.
