Creating and establishing any business is tough — and doing so within the world of classic motor vehicles brings its own unique challenges. Long days, endless hurdles, constant reinvestment, and the need to manage expectations can test anyone’s patience and determination.
But then, every so often, something happens that reminds you exactly why you started in the first place.
Recently, after what had been a particularly challenging day in the office, I received a message from a customer that completely turned things around. His words summed up everything we strive for at The Forge Prees — honesty, professionalism, attention to detail, and above all, a genuine passion for classic cars.
Here’s what Adam had to say about his experience:
“I’d been looking for a usable, early MGB Roadster for some time. I noticed the great photos of a Mk1 presented by The Forge, Prees — a low-mileage, 1962 model, on its original bodyshell and only 3 owners from new.
A couple of emails and phone calls with Christian further impressed me to arrange to look at the car. I was able to examine the car top to bottom with Christian kindly putting it on a ramp. The test drive was fantastic and the purchase was the smoothest, most relaxed transaction I’ve ever encountered with a dealer.
The whole site was spotless; fabulous garages with immaculate cars and a very clean, warm modern office. The car was delivered to my door and with a beautifully presented history file worthy of the best historic cars. The after-sales service has also been faultless. I highly recommend The Forge, Prees — a truly memorable and professional experience.”

Feedback like this really does mean the world. It’s easy to focus on the hurdles and forget to pause and appreciate the positive steps forward — but messages like Adam’s remind me that progress is being made, and that the effort to build something special here at The Forge is worthwhile.
Thank you, Adam — you genuinely made my day.
